Work Continues on Elkins' Darden Mill

Improvement of the historic mill building continued steadily into the new century. The Allegheny Restoration company was contracted to repair and replace the siding of the Darden Mill. As much as possible of the original finish material was retained, depending on the extent of deterioration.

These photographs are courtesy of Bill Wade, and show the crew at work on various features of the mill. Some of the underlying structure of the building can be seen in some of the shots.
